Andy Creswell

Although he may not have been widely known by those on this forum it has been reported locally that Andy Creswell was found dead at his yard early this morning in Pluckley, Kent, in suspicious circumstances. He had been a long-time aviation collector and had a quantity of material stored at his yard although some of his collection had been loaned by him to the little aviation museum at Headcorn.

He was a really super and totally inoffensive guy and I had known him quite well over many years. The story I was told has it that he may have disturbed intruders who may, repeat may, have been after some of his aviation items. I have not heard that substantiated or in any way confirmed though. At present I think the only thing confirmed is death in suspicious circumstances. However it was caused then his death is quite shocking – the more so if it was foul play.

Certainly some here will know him and he was always a regular at aerojumbles etc, so a familiar face to many – without a doubt.
