Shackleton Cockpit not for sale (Was "Dodgy offer")

Hi all.

I’ve just had a call from DaveT. He has advised me that somebody, is ‘allegedly’ offering for sale something that does not belong to him.

That something is Mr Rusty.

Apparently a Caernarvon-based person has let it be known (initially to someone that DaveT and I both know) that he is open to offers for Mr Rusty.

Before this gets out of hand and someone looses money in good faith, I would like to reiterate that, not only is Mr Rusty still mine and mine only, but she is not for sale.

Should I consider selling her, I would let you all know openly here first.

Further, last year on another forum I found it necessary to advise the professional aviation fraternity that Roy Steptoe did not own, nor did he have any input, direction or control of my EASA Part 145 approved maintenance facility. His only connection with Apache Aviation Ltd was…….as my landlord. He collects the rent.

This arrangement has not changed in any way.

Could I ask everyone here to advise any extant or potential cockpit collectors that Mr Rusty is not for sale.

Thanks.

camlobe

It’s outside (and not for sale so don’t give anybody a cheque if they ask 😀 )

I did think of driving to Wales with an HIAB but SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) wouldn’t approve of any more arrivals at home. (I have to arrange deliveries when she is out. It was a bit recently disconcerting when a delivery from Screwfix arrived at 07.30 and the same day a heavy load (not an aircraft!, arrived in the dark. I managed to talk my way out of both, in the second case Coronation Street was on so that made it easy!

PS
I know its not funny for the owner and hope that nothing happens to Mr Rusty.

Can you clarify please, as i am hoping to visit soon? Is the Shackleton nose in the Museum at Caernarvon outside or elsewhere on the airfield.

I think your title is poor for want of a better word and should be amended to bring more attention to the subject of the matter.;)
