quicksiver projects buccaneer

anyone know what the current status of this aircraft is ,whats its history ? what will happen to it once its engines have been removed? has any organisation expressed an interest in its preservation or has one been earmarked to take ownership of same once its role as engine donor is completed?

XX897 is currently positioned outside De-Havilland Aviation’s new hangar at Bournemouth.

Its looking increasingly likely that 897 will not have to donate one of its engines to the WSR project, as the boats engine has recently been tested at Bruntingthorpe, and this did not come from the aircraft.

As for the future, nobody really knows, but rest assured, there are plenty of interested parties, including ourselves.
