Stumbled across this museum website but couldnt get a list of aircraft.
Does anyone know what they have, a paper article mentioned they could have one of three Tempests.
Is this true?
anyone got any pics at the museum?
cheers

Thats right, bits of JB659 mounted on wooden plaques with the names of the crew crop up here and there. Newark had a boxfull early in the year when I visited.
A chap was selling larger pieces at Flying Legends this year, I forget his name (had a stand up by the F-15). According to him Wickenby were ‘pruning’ their JB659 wreckage collection.

Weren’t some of the Lancaster remains mounted & sold to raise cash for the Museum at Wickenby?
I seem to recall seeing parts from this aircraft for sale at Newark a while back…

Thats a shame, i hope they are still looking after them.
If there is no room what about a photo catalogue of what they found for the public to view?

No, sadly it was never on public display, I emailed them once about it, and the reply said they never had the room. It was in the crates it arrived in, in storage on site.

So is the Lanc on display then?
the recovery seems to be well documented.
