Just bought a copy of Everything but the flak by Martin Caidin of Evilbay for myself as a chrissy prezzie. Am i right to be exited i hear it is a good book,and i do like reading pilots stories from th postwar years. It all seemed so much looser than today [less rules or more broken ones anyway] .
Anyone read it?

You won’t be disappointed – an excellent read, really getting into the drama of recovering and flying the aircraft over significant distances.
