Hello all – my first post, so I apologise if this isn’t done right. I’m an historian based in New Zealand, researching No 5 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force. In 1936-38, No 5 (Fleet Co-operation) Squadron had an RAF exchange officer as CO, Squadron Leader (later Air Commodore) Cyril Beresford Wincott. Incidentally, one of ‘his’ aircraft was the Supermarine Seagull V, A2-4, in the RAF Museum. I know the basics of his service (starting with RNAS) and hoping to contact any researcher, family member or others with information on the man, his time in Australia, and possibly even photographs (esp 1936-38). Many thanks. John
