Can anyone identify this ?

When we were on Paxos this summer, we saw this prop. and part of engine in small fishing village (Loggos I think). There was no plaque or information(not even in Greek!) . Anyone know what it is/was ?

Ken was after an engine plate for a Gipsy Queen a few weeks ago!

Nice piece,

I guess it was fitted to the Halford H1 engine – technically the precursor to the Goblin.

Do you want to sell it? Drop me a PM if you do!

The circular plate is “H1” and was fitted to early (or pre-production?) de Havilland Goblin engines.
H stands for (Frank) Halford.

Looks to me like a Bristol Mercury, if so, possibly off a Blenheim.
