Part ID please. Bomb Sight ?

Amazing what some people bring into the pub.
Only marking I can see are –
Recorder Drift MKII

Any ideas ?

The Drift Sight had an external view downward. The navigator tracked an object on the ground below the aircraft, and the resulting drift angle was read off the dial.

Mosquito, Lancaster, Lincoln, Beaufighter, Blenheim, Oxford, Anson etc etc. Early war until late fifties.

After the war these were quite common in pubs as an aid to getting home in one piece 😮

Its a Drift Recorder, or Drift Sight.
