I have found reference to a Daily Mail article of 29 October 1996 relating to a resident of St Omer who places flowers at the crash site of a Spitfire every year. However…I cannot find any more information or the actual article or trace any the details of the incident.
Its a bit of a long-shot, but can anyone fill in any missing detail for me?
