Dave posted this on the ‘seen on ebay’ thread but I think people missed it:

It’s a BFP certainly, but i don’t recognise the flaring out either side at the bottom.”
For some reason I’m thinking naval aircraft
Anyone any guesses…I’d like to know!

I’ll stick my neck out and suggest it’s post war and probably civilian.
The BFP does not conform to a standard military panel, and the presence of military gauges means nothing as they might have been sourced for civilian use or, indeed, placed in the panel just to fill it up and increase its value (and present it as something it isn’t).
If my eyes are correct, the right shoulder of the panel is higher than the left, suggesting that it may have been designed to blend into a larger instrument panel, perhaps one with a duplicate BFP on the right hand side and engine instruments in between?
All original including panel which has many issue marks & numbers etc
Perhaps someone (with enough interest) should ask him to list some of these numbers. It will make the job of identifying it a bit easier!
