For anyone who might be interested I have just seen two Franklin Mint/Armour 1/48th D.C.3s for sale at £39.99 (each) – very nice.
Two different schemes – Pan Am, NC30011 & Eastern, N88808. Whilst Christmas shopping today I showed them to my other half with a comment along the lines of “I bet our daughter’s son’s grandad would like one of those” – stony silence 🙁

Our local model zone has them as well, with B-26, Mosquito, B-24, HE-111 and others.
I blagged a costal command coloured B-24 – its the size of a house but I love it!
