For those of you who like me collect aircraft junk, or collectables or go to aerojumbles, here is an interesting article I came across on the internet the other day. It’s from the independant newspaper (finance section) dated 2004.
The web site address is

It’s official, invest in twisted metal to beat the recession!

Very interesting Read, However, I wonder with the slump in Housing prices, shares etc ,if the Aeronautica hobby will be swamped with investors with lots of cash, which we saw with the classic car boom, at the last recession ??
I don’t think the classic Ferrari market has much to worry about. 😀
You could also make the case that prices will go down as the “well off” or regular people who had some extra cash to spend on toys/luxuries are hit in the pocketbook by the economic troubles.
In fact, you could even see a sell of as people may need to turn items for cash.

Maybe the days of the £1500 spitfire spade grip are over some things over the last few years have just been totally stupid, nice if you own it but there has been more money than sense around !!
