Millionaire Steve Fossets Wreckage Found?

The news reports over the last few days have gone on about the wreck being found in a different direction to that which he was supposed to have flown. But his last words were supposedly that he was flying south and the wreck site is due south of the take off point.

All very sad.

Now reported as containing some human remains. Though what will be left after a year of weather and coyotes is not pleasant to speculate.

I wonder will this convince the thieving insurance companies who have refused to pay out?

Yes, most of the search was in Nevada, also the Google Earth search. This was the official call from Civil Air Patrol. Despite A California highway patrolman having reported seeing Fossetts plane near Mammoth Lakes on Sep 3 (the area where the plane has now been found).

“A California highway patrolman saw Fossett’s plane flying at a low altitude near Mammoth Lakes in midmorning, and a ranch hand reported seeing the plane disappear around a ridge to the west of Nevada’s Mount Grant—the last confirmed sighting of Fossett.”

When CAP was conducting a search so far from the last confirmed sighting, surely heads must now roll.

Wasn’t the search area only in Nevada?

Well they found his plane and some of his effects, not over till they find him….!

Peter I just read on MSN news, a hiker found ID about half a mle away from wreck and they are sure the wildlife got the rest!
