Gunsight Help Please?

Hello out there…

I have just acquired a Type 1 Mark 1 projector gunsight (8B/2519, A.M. 4535/44) in beautiful (probably unused) condition. The sight is without its glass plate or mounting for such and is in its original wooden box (with original label matching the serial no. above) that is clearly designed to accomodate the base and bulb-holder only (I am guessing that these sights were issued originally from the manufacturer as separate parts that were matched with their base / glass respectively by stores??).

I would love to find a matching glass and glass-mounting for this gunsight base – anyone out there know of any such units?? Any help gratefully received.

I am not in the trade, I am a passionate personal collector…!
