Is anyone in contact with this Forum member? (Bert van Dalen From the Netherlands I understand?)
It is just that he had been researching P/O Geoffrey Hill who was shot down in his Spitfire P7665 and appealing for relatives to contact him as he had an 83 year old friend with a model of a spitfire that wanted to present the family with. We are now in contact with Geoffrey Hill’s relatives and would like to arrange this meeting. The original thread was in August 2004 so maybe he isn’t around anymore – tried sending him a PM and also replied to the original post.
Would be great if we could finalise this for the family and his friend.
