grumman skyrocket colour slides

Hi All,
Came across these on e bay, not my cup of tea, but I wondered when colour slides started to be used.
Also I didn’t know the long nose skyrocket flew in these silver and yellow colours.
Anyone know when it went to the blue/grey USN scheme.

They would have looked good in RAF/FAA WW2 colours.

Just out of curiosity, anyone know why the skyrocket wasn’t a ‘*****cat’,( i.e. wildcat/tigercat etc).
