Shoreham Today

Lots going on there today. Just spent a pleasureable late morning/lunchtime on the beach with my son (4 yrs old) watching Spitfire (Dutch Markings), Mustang (yellow B on tail) and the Catalina displaying with another Spit and the AACHF parked up on the airfield when we had driven past. There were also two Tucanos parked up as well…not sure if they count yet.

Little VC10 (should that be BAC1-11??) showed very little interest and was far more interested in trying to get me to go into the sea for a swim! Infact two girls where showing more interest than he was!! Not an aviation enthusiast!!

Eastbourne Airshow

Shoreham Airport is always well worth a visit whilst Eastbourne Air Show is on as most of the display aircraft are based here for the week and regularly practice their displays either before or after popping down the coast to the show.

The airport even produce a list of the aircraft arrival and departure times so that you can time your visit to see your favourites.

At least you’re starting out early with him! You’ll either get another aviation enthusiast or a screaming teenager who doesn’t want to get near another aircraft in his life :D:D Good luck! :p

Little VC10=VC11 😉
