Well on THIS B of B day 1940, the Luftfotte 5 had a very nasty day over Ole Blighty!! 😉 and got hit for a sixer :p

Almost a massacre :dev2:

Twenty-two German aircraft fell out of the sky, and many other’s were badly knocked about!!

And all the full of them self’s Hun’s had to show for it was………..

Ten Whitley bomber’s blown up on the ground at Driffield (Done em a favor I reckon :rolleyes:), a blown up ammo dump, some thirty house’s in Sunderland and Bridlington.

AND only one 😮 damaged Hurricane forced to return to base!!

What a bad day for the Kraut’s hey :D:D

Luft 5 had it’s first and last outing during the B Of B………

Now don’t forget ” The Hardest Day ” is on the 18th in three day’s time.

So Let WE not forget those fine young Valiant men and really boy’s that gave their blood and live’s on both side’s, during those hellish day’s of 1940.

When just so much was at stake for both waring party’s on both side’s of that oh so small moat Chunnel of your’s :)!!
