I wonder how many preserved aircraft can boast that two cockpits survive!

The F-111 looks great, looks like it has been repainted in early camo scheme?

Exactly right . When retired in late 2010 they were all painted in the current RAAF standard low-vis grey.

The new colour scheme is in fact the original standard SEA (South East Asia) camouflage as when they entered RAAF service in 1973.

Here at HARS we will be taking delivery of F111C # A8-109 over the next few weeks.

This is an interesting aircraft, its a Vietnam Veteran and was built as an USAF F111A in 1967. Acquired by the RAAF in the early 1980’s as an attrition replacement it was converted to C standards and entered service.

It was infact the very last F111 to ever fly being the last to land after the types final flypast. Total of only ~7,900 airframe hours.
