ETO USAAF airfield defence question

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some info, links, literature with respect to the defence and security of airfields in England used by the USAAF during WWII.

Would it have controlled by the RAF or USAAF or both? RAF AA gun crews and USAAF MPs for base security perhaps?

Any leads?
