Something for the weekend…

Thanks for all the advice on camera’s in the Photography section guys.

I’ve bought a Fuji S5700, which is not quite as advanced as a DSLR, but has loads more features than a compact. And it was only £99 new from Currys!

All I need is somewhere to test it…Anyone got any ideas for tomorrow, preferably with some flying warbirds. Not Duxford though, going there next week

Any ideas?

I think I got a simaller Camera, its not as good as a SLR ,but it is a FUJI FinePix S6500 fd digi cam,

I used it at Kemble air day this year, and i dont think i could have got better for the money about £150, the Movie part on it really suprised me with the sound qaulity,
the only thing that i did find hard was its ZOOM , its quite good, but not brilliant, But i managed to get some good shots with it, when there was a flypast, ,when i got home i had to zoom in on the pic, to as much as i could to get the detail, but trying to photograph a fast jet at full chat was very hard and also at any sort of distance,

I was very pleased with what i had got anyway even if it wasnt a SLR

That’s the same as mine, not a bad bit of kit, the “movie” feature is very good, great sound capture, i’m a bit gutted though as I paid £129.99 for mine lol :D:p

Why not try Wolverhampton Intergalactic Business Spaceport or whatever Halfpenny Green is called these days. A pound to park and you can walk down and stand in front of the tower if you follow the marked path. No Warbirds as far as I know but plenty of Spam if the weather’s good, which I suspect it won’t be.

If you want to practice panning and getting used to the shutter lag on your camera go to BHX and pay a fortune for parking with NO facilities or go to the Midland Air Museum at Coventry and a trip round to the end of the airfield. There’s usually something flying.

What with shelling out nearly £80 on tickets for Legends, I’d rather not blow another 40 on Waddington!

Something free would be ideal, if that isn’t stating the bleeding obvious.
