We are delighted to be able to confirm that DC-6 G-APSA will be appearing at the Waddington International Airshow on Sunday July 6th where she will perform her stunning 2008 trademark display routine.
On Saturday July 5th, she will also be in attendance at the London City Airport Fun Day, becoming one of the largest aircraft ever to land at the airport.

I’ve just notice on the first thread that the DC-6 will actually land! All we need now is a DC-7C and we can start non stop flights from LCY to New York bypassing the need for a BA Airbus 318 which has to land en route at Shannon.

Unbelievable! It would be fantastic to see an old 4 engined piston DC-6 land at London City Airport! I take it that if she did this she would land from the east avoiding the city skyscrapers? I thought that the pilots had to be type rated for this LCY approach?
Or is she just doing a flypast without landing?

Thanks for the video Freshest, seems she performs like a Flying Legend anyway….but perhaps I’m a tad biased ?

Say hello to my youth then, he’ll be at the front wearing his Heidi Hat, a much treasured item borrowed and worn by many bands at his catalogue of moshin trips. Don’t try and knick it either, I’m hoping to borrow it for Legends, I have this image of SG wearing it for his Bearcat solo at the end of the show.

Pity it will not be at Waddington on the Saturday. It was the one of the reasons I decided to attend that show this year.

That’s great news, was wondering when I would get the chance to see her 😀
