There is a small news article in this weeks Maidenhead Advertiser newspaper about some women from Air Transport Auxiliary being at White Waltham being filmed as part of a ‘movie’. Has anyone heard about this movie or maybe it is a documentary

“WINGS for Touch Films, with funding from SW Screen, is a cross generation mainly contemporary-set story about the long shadow cast over the lives of women who were fighter pilots in World War II.”

Ok , I have found out a little more information : The movie will be called “Real Times” by Independent Film Producer “Touch Films” It is now in pre-production for hoped for release 2010. The 4 women ATA pilots interviewed: Freydis Sharland, Rosemary Seccombe, Joy Lofthouse and Annette Dixon were filmed for a ‘top and tail’ sections of the movie.

Fran, I can’t remember her last name, sorry, of the Maidenhead Heritage Centre or some such will probably know about this. I believe there is a large repository of ATA photographs held there and I believe she is something to do with organising aviation talks at White Waltham?
