Hi, I have inherited a propeller from a 1916 Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.8, which has been authenticated by the Royal Air Force Museum, evidently only 182 were made. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of the value of such an item and how would be the best way to sell it !

Welcome to the Forum Cabbie.
Adding to Newforest’s advice there are also one or two dealers that specialise in vintage propellors – in case you wish to sell it quickly (but maybe get less for it). Get hold of a copy of “FlyPast” and “Aeroplane” and look in the classifieds.
Another alternative could be to advertise it for sale yourself in those (and other) magazines inviting offers?

Welcome to the Forum, presumably you are in the U.K. I would enquire of the bigger auction houses when they are going to have an aviation related sale and put it with them.
