Help – trade classification, WW1.

I am placing this thread here on behalf of a friend who is trying to piece together a relations service history.

I have attached part of the only service record for this person which was obtained by him via Kew. (not the best of photocopies) He wants to know what his trade was.

Trying to find out WW1 trades in the RFC on the net is not turning anything up, so this is where hopefully you can help.

He has contacted Hendon but has not received any acknowledgement in two weeks.

Can anyone help in the meantime please??

Thanks.

Brian.

Are you a doctor John?

I read it now, but before i knew, I was inventing a whole new series of trades to make it fit….:-)

I have spent a lot of time trying to read Hatched ,Matched and Dispatched certificates doing my family history over the last few years.

John.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I thought that too but the lettering did not look right which is why I passed in on.

Cheers.
