A full size replica of British Army Aeroplane No 1A (BAA-1A) in which Samuel F Cody made the first powered controlled flight in the UK on October 16th 1908 will be displayed in the Pioneers of Flight Pavilion at the Farnborough Airshow this centenary year (July 14th to 20th). Also featured will be a replica of a Wright Flyer and some early A V Roe machines. A not to be missed opportuntity for historic aviation enthusiasts.

Does anyone have any photos of those early aeroplanes, from the Farnborough Air show display?

Further to Derek’s post, I think you will find this website interesting: www.codyflyerproject.com. I haven’t seen the whole aircraft, only bits and pieces, plus a photo of the final assemblage, and it is stunning.
