Sir Bob Taylor

There is an article in the Coventry Evening Telegraph on 11th June announcing that Sir Robert Taylor has died.
Bob Taylor, an ex-RAF pilot, was appointed Assistant Director of Birmingham Airport in 1974 and, two years later, became Airport Director. During the following 17 years he oversaw BHX’s transformation into a serious international airport.
He was also Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of West Midlands for 13 years and a Patron of the Midland Air Museum.
