American airshows?

Hello, I’m planning a trip to America this July (to hug trees for work, it’s a hard life :smiliegrin) and wondered if anyone could suggest any particularly special airshows or museums to visit. I really don’t know anything about the airshow scene over there (other than there should be a lot of things I’ve never seen before) and I need something to make up for missing most of 558’s season (hopefully she’ll have plenty of money for Leuchars and next year).

Does anyone know of any airshows near to Boston or Fresno (in California) in July; ideally ones where there are aircraft that rarley come over here (B-24, F-22, B-29??, Blackbird???, F-111??)? Are there any museums near those places (is Dayton near enough to Boston)?

Do they have a RIAT/Legends equivalent?

Thanks very much in advance.

You might be interested in the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. It’s about a two hour drive from downtown Boston. Not a huge collection, but they do have a B-29…

Two at the top of my list:
Udvar-Hazy at Washington DC (I had 4 hours there and needed 40!)
USAF Museum, Dayton, Ohio (been there 3 times and would have wished it was 30!)
