Always had trouble locating books from the above author, now deceased, but have finally got and finished reading ‘Jericho 52’, the story of the rescue and resurrection of the J.52 from South America, a great read.
As a prolific writer, what other books would posters recommend from this author?

Also famous for “The Bionic Man” – which started the six million dollar… franchise (and that was also a pain to get hold of!).
Not so sure he wants to be known for that necessarily though!

Yes, he wrote quite a few good books. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has difficulty obtaining them.

A vote from me for “Everything But The Flak” – an excellent read.
I also enjoyed “Ragwings And Heavy Iron” which is a collection of accounts of operating/living with Warbirds.

I thought “Zero Fighter” won a book award ? I have “Thunderbolt” which is good but dated , but I recommend “Everything But The Flak”.
By publishing the list it might enlighten younger aviation viewers to his writings, so apologies but a method in the madness !!

“Everything ,But the Flak” about the ferrying of B-17’s across the Atlantic for making the movie “The War Lover” in 1961. Had a paperback copy that I loaned to someone and it got lost !! ( never loan your aviation books out !!)
