Return of “The Man form Airfix”
The latest in Aeroventure’s continuing series of aviation and modelling lectures is sure to appeal to modelling enthusiasts as well as those with a more general interest in aviation, who’s original inspiration may well have been the proverbial Airfix ‘two-bob’ Spitfire!
Trevor Snowden has been the Chief Development Engineer for Airfix for more than twenty years. During this time he has seen the company through many trials and triumphs, including the recent rebirth of the brand under the Hornby banner. Recent releases from Airfix have seen BAe Nimrod and Canberra added to the long established favourites, with more, eagerly-anticipated kits ‘in the pipeline…’.
Join Trevor for the evening and learn about the past, present and future for this iconic British model manufacturer. He might even let slip a few ‘trade secrets’…
The date is Saturday 10th May 2008, with a start time of 7.00 p.m. The venue is the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, in Doncaster. Tickets are available priced at £7.50 and it is advisable to pre-book as there is a limit of 55 seats for this event.
