Just spotted this on the BBC website. A sympathetic development including renovation of hangars and the Officer’s Mess… Blimey! If you’re going to develop an old airfield this has to be the way to do it; other developers take note!

Would be nice to have the cash to buy one of the apartments…
Let’s hope they do a great job in the conversion/restoration.

The hangars at Hooton Park would benefit hugely from that kind of attention. Paid the guys there a visit the other day. What they are doing to save them is highly commendable I just hope they pull it off in time!

Excellent stuff, that’s how airfield developments should be done, we all recognise the future need to build on valuable land (which most old aifields are), but the above project remembers the past aswel
