The Aviator

Saw this film on TV for the first time and, although the CGI graphics were impressive they didn’t, somehow, cut the mustard.

I can’t quite put my finger on why they didn’t work – perhaps they were too smooth and steady?

Other problems were a lack of engine noise particularly when ‘Kate’ took over the flying in the seaplane (a Boeing?).

And the rear view from the cockpit of the Lightning lookalike seemed to be from about fifty feet in the air!

In my new guise as film reviewer (!), I thing Di Caprio played his part extremely well, but none of the females did.
