I well remember the Brawdy ‘Lean’ – almost permanent list against the prevailing wind 😀

M.P.B.W…might have been works and bricks – but at Brawdy also meant ”Macs Pub By the Waves” 😀 I remember walking out of there one night f f f fairly well oiled and deciding it was a good idea to go into the sea fully clothed (as you do ;)),it was a rough night and the undertow immediately sobered us up LOL

Driving the winch for the gliding club which was set up just before I was posted out…sometimes the wind shear was wicked off the cliffs and you might need full power to get em off the ground…but over 100ft they were still waving off speed with the drum stopped ;),couldn,t possibly do a bit of kiting – it was verboten 😀

Parking a nice clean Hawk out on the line and 30 mins later the screen and canopy covered in salt spray :rolleyes:.

Lovely part of the world…must go back for a visit sometime !!
