Can anyone suggest where – in print or a website – I might access the French civil register as it stood in 1946. Trying to extract that information from the composite registers that I have seen is a nightmarish task and one that I would wish to avoid if at all possible!

It looks like you can buy the complete french civil register on line, from 1920 until 2005. Only 20 Euro!

I´ve no idea when this site was last active, or if it still is, so before you part with your hard earned, maybe a little investigation is in order!
