New Spitfire Picture Thread

Just realised we have not had a dedicated Spitfire thread for a while now. Prize for the best Spitfire pic posted this week. (yes I do still have plenty of 20mm brass cases to get rid of!)

MH434

Does anyone have any good photos of MH434 during Adrian Swires ownership during the 1970’s ? 🙂

How many would you like 🙂

Yes that head on shot of MJ730 is a cracker – good to see our paint job of six years ago is holding on.

I have taken so many Spitfire shots, including the air-to-air work that can be seen on the airshow photo section of this forum, but this image still remains one of my personal favorites.

Brilliant shots Richard. Love the one above most of all. I really like this Spit -miss her over here, but at least she is happy over there.:)

Out of interest – what was your camera ship for the head-on shots?

Cheers

There is some loverly photo’s but I think you might have to split it into ground based & airbourne photo’s- just to give those of us who don’tformate with Spitfires a chance.:)

Very tasty indeed. My youngest always asks when I’m going to have enough Spitfire photos and I always tell him when they stop changing the markings. I don’t think he realises that the same applies to all historic aircraft where I’m concerened.

ah what nice pics of pl965

she has to be my fav spit

i dont know why maybe shes the first 1 have worked on/ been near to

she just looks like she belongs in the air

PL965 is a beauty, love the PR Spitfires. Would be nice to see more of her this year. I watched Peter Teichman fly the P40 at the Biggin Hill airshow and he flew a corking display, would be nice to see him do similar in this Spitfire!

My three favourite displays last year were Alistair Kay, Mustang Flying Legends, Peter Teichman P40 at Biggin Hill and John Romain Buchon at Duxford.

Is Peter Teichmans Mustang still painted as Jumpin Jaques?
