Firefly Mk1 gun button relinquished from a cockpit of an a/c that had been scrapped at CU in the 1950’s…

the early ’60’s, when MR.2 WG768 was operated with ‘ROYAL NAVY’ titles for data transmission trials.
A wee bit tenous, but hoping to save some embaressment on Nashios behalf!
cheers old bean, I fear i was going to have to iron my hands for such a mistake 😮

Not unless you have any Firefly bits for exchange.;)
No Firefly bits at the moment i’m afraid, it would just be for cash. I already have a canopy and some smaller items and i’m always on the lookout for anything else.

when did the FAA operate shack’s ?
The early ’60’s, when MR.2 WG557 was operated with FAA colour scheme, (EDSG over white) and ‘ROYAL NAVY’ titles for data transmission trials while with the RAE armament flight.
A wee bit tenuous, but hoping to save some embaressment on Nashios behalf!

What Fleet Air Arm Stuff Do You Have?
I was civvie Radio Allocations Officer for Eagle, Ark Royal and Bulwark 1963-69. Father was FAA pilot and instructor. Have his photo albums and log books.

My dad was on Bulwark during Suez, flown home early after diving off the flight deck into Valetta Harbour for a 10shilling bet & hitting the bottom so he didn’t actually get there for the kick-off.
Stepdad was on the Eagle at some point, not sure when exactly.
