Chapter and verse please;)
Saw this DH Dove, G-ASUW, in an old episode of said program today and wondered what happened to it. I noticed it didn’t have it’s original DH engines, it looked like it had a couple of Lycomings fitted. A little googling revealed it to be Riley conversion, what was this? What happened to it?
G-INFO records it as un-registered and originally built in 1949.
Guys, it’s over to you…

Are we sure the a/c was in Oklahoma recently? If you look at the FAA site and see a plane listed as “sale reported” with address 73125 OK (often Box 25504, Oklahoma City) that refers to the FAA’s address. Those a/c which are reported sold gets (or got) this id if the buyer had sent his copy of the BoS to the feds, while the new owner had not yet sent his.

Oops, I bow to your superior knowledge!:D I did a comprehensive search for ‘Providence Commuters Inc.’ and couldn’t find anything which is surprising as they had the aircraft for a long time. Here’s hoping it turns up somewhere!:)

Last reported to be in Oklahoma and sold, for a new life or a respectful retirement?

For basic details about the Riley Dove, this http://www.rileydove.com/ isn’t bad. It’s actually about one particular airframe but also has an overview of the modifications and improvements.
