As a fan of Norman designed aircraft I’ve been looking for ways to save the Fieldmaster prototype from external storage at Sandown.
I’ve managed to trace the owner, I can fund the purchase but what I haven’t got is a home to move her to. I’d be interested to hear from any collection or museum who may be interested in offering a permanent home or any information or leads on (hopefully temporary) storage. (Image borrowed)

Hallo, my name is Kobus Voss (Vossie) and I have been a cropspraying pilot for 30 years in South Africa. I have more than 28000 hours to my credit and have flown almost every make cropsprayer produced in the western world. My company wanted to import one of the firemasters into South Africa. But before we could do it NAC went under. We run a small cropspraying school where we train new and upcoming pilots in the industry. We do like the aircraft as it will make the training much easier. Would you consider selling it or donating it to and company that will realy find the right use for it. We see the industry dying because of a lack of new pilots trained. Most of the youngsters are afraid of flying taildraggers these days. Please let me know if you are maybe willing to help. Kind regards Vossie. NB: We tried the Turks to hear if they where willing with no avail.

Well it looks like trying to save an airframe is harder than I thought. So far I’ve been unable to find reasonable storage or a museum to take NRDC.
As a new business venture looks like it’s going to come off and in case any museum was put off by the offer of a loan as opossed to ownership of NRDC, I’m happy to give contact details for the owner of NRDC to any interested parties (please include an outline of your plan for G-NRDC). I’m just interested to see it saved with or without my involvement.

Done a bit of digging on Fieldmasters and found out that
1 G-BNEG D 6001 NAC-6 FIELDMASTER
2 G-NACL D 6001 NAC-6 FIELDMASTER
3 G-NACM D 6002 NAC-6 FIELDMASTER
4 G-NACN D 6003 NAC-6 FIELDMASTER
5 G-NACO D 6004 NAC-6 FIELDMASTER
6 G-NACP D 6005 NAC-6 FIELDMASTER
7 G-NRDC D 004 NDN-6 FIELDMASTER
Of these c/n 6002 G-NACM and G-NACN c/n 6003 were exported to Turkey.
The others are temporarily WFU except G-NRDC which was canceled by the
CAA. Is the c/n 004 for ‘DC in the same sequence as the firecrackers?
Who is or was EPA Aircraft Company Ltd. of London SW13 they were the
last owners of ‘CL ‘CO & CP?
Total times to 31/12/97 were ‘CL 814 ‘CM 1403 ‘CN 1280 ‘CO 279 ‘CP 543
So they were out and about does anyone have any photos of them?
Your time and trouble, comments and observations much appreciated.
Be lucky
David

Many thanks for the suggestions, Unfortunately Solent Sky have space issues and are unable to help. I’d like to try and keep the airframe in the South if possible but East Midlands may be possible. Does anyone know if they could offer undercover space?

Might East Midlands Aeropark be interested? It’s a long way from IOW but they have the B-N Sheriff (I think)
Roger Smith.

The logical home would of course be Solent Sky, but they are probably in limbo due to the possible relocation issues.
