This relic was on Chapelhouse Farm, nr Shrivenham, Wilts in the 1970s. I understand it is not there now but has anyone actually checked?! I returned there about six years ago but the farm access was road was locked and barred. I was not able to find any ID and the farmer told me it was a crashed aircraft used for paratroop training on a local airfield. The nearest 9th Troop Carrier Command base was at Membury. The Air-Britain DC-3 book has quite a few possibilities. It was in the earlier sand/earth scheme rather than olive drab. I would love to know more!
