Hi All
I’m trying to get in contact with the owner of Stinson L5 Sentinal, I need to talk things of a historical nature with him/her. Have attached piccy from Air Britain website.
I believe its based up Norfolk way, any leads, or contact details would be much appreciated.

I haven’t heard anything about that L-5 coming back here. Before it’s restoration I’m pretty sure it was here in San Antonio and part of the squadron I’m in.

By rare I meant the only one in the UK.
Ah, OK.
Further thought – a lot rarer than Austers and Piper L-4s of course.

Are they? I didn’t think they were common but there’s a fair number in the US and Australia (five airworthy?), at least one or two in Europe – about normal for a wartime type with limited civil use, I’d have thought.

I got shown around it by the owner a couple of weeks ago whilst collecting another aircraft, I didn’t realise they were so rare.

Try looking out Black Barn Aviation at Priory Farm, Tibenham, Norfolk.
I’m sure they’ll be able to help 😉

I’d be extremely suprised. It was still in perfect flying condition with its owners in the UK a couple of weeks ago when I saw it.
Perhaps Yanks have a different L5?

PM sent….

Yes, it is a fine example of a rare breed, would look even better next to a Cub restored to the same standards! Would like to make contact with the owner, partially to talk restoration bits and bobs, but also to try to tie up in the future sometime.

Yep, I found that too, thats also a bit old tho, I need to know who owns it now. Its here in the UK……..
It was restored by the Stearman people at Old Buckenham over a few years and flew last year. Someone here in this country owns it now, but its still on the N register.
