Hello everyone,
I’m after some information regarding No. 247 Group RAF Coastal Command. A colleague at work is trying to trace her family tree and has found that her late father served in the RAF during WWII. All we know, at this moment, is that he served in the Azores, Greenland/Iceland and then served in Canada.
I had a brief look on Google and Wiki and No. 247 Group may have been the one he served in.
I guess he could have, obviously, transferred to other commands as well.
Can anyone help?
Ta,
Paul

D’oh!
His name is John Harper.
At the moment we don’t know his service number. Hopefully my colleague is going to have a dig around and get back to me with what she can find.

Paul,
A name and service number might help.
