Supermarine Seafire Book

Hope I’m allowed to advise, not to plug in anyway – but I have a fair few of the Crowood Press series, and in Feb they are bringing out a volume just about the Seafire – it will make a change from the usual chapter stuck between Merlin & Griffon chapters as you often get in Spitfire books.

There is something about a late mark seafire, all bulges and RATO packs, bit like an old film star, aging not so gracefully and “having work done”….. you know what I mean???

A few years ago I picked up David Brown’s excellent book on the Seafire, it might be worth doing a quick search on Amazon if your interested in this specific type.

I’m preaching to the choir here !

here you go :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Supermarine-Seafire-Kev-Darling/dp/1861269900/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=gateway&qid=1200848264&sr=8-1

the www.crowood.com site is a bit spartan, it doesn’t tend to show new publications until they are off the press in my experience. My own feelings on the series are that they vary depending on the author, I’m looking forward to this one though
