BAC 1-11 Test Bed At Bournemouth?

I believe that the Northrup Grumman test bed aircraft, N164W routed Baltimore, Goose Bay, Keflavik to Bournemouth on 14th and 15th January, can anyone confirm and for what reason?

N161NG was also ex American Airlines, but must have had a more chequered career as N5027 (AA), N909CH, N102ME, N765B and HZ-GRP!

N164W(090) and N162W(087) were G-AXCK and G-AXCP respectively in Dan-Air day’s. Spent many happy hours on the flightdeck with my late father. Nice to see them return to the UK. They are series 401AK ex American Airlines.

Not much speculation lately!

The facts are that N164W left Bournemouth on 29/3 to return to the U.S. so what work was done in the ten weeks it was resident?

Interesting is that Northrup Grumman have three 1-11 test bed aircraft, N164W (090), N162W (087) and N161NG (067).

Two and two make four? on this forum it’s just as likely to make six with all the speculation we get.

According to a friend who lives locally:

N164W is at Bournemouth and is with FR Aviation presently.

Not sure how long it’s staying.
