Is anyone able to add any personal recollections to what I can find on google about this former fighter training airfield?
I gather it was part of the grand post WWII airfield closure programme but I don’t have much info on its operational life.

I have some particularly great memories of Chedworth in the last couple of years, particularly as its largly intact in layout, so with the right aeroplane, lots of fun can be had there when nobody is looking.
Not that I’ve done that, nor would I do that sort of thing – rule 5 is there for a reason and thats important.
I’m just saying it could be done if you wanted.
