Yea we have a winner, this aircraft is a early SB2C-2 all the junk you see sitting is what is left of the tail this one came down after the pilot got lost and put it into some tree’s.

As for the ownership thing no problem you see all the stuff that Mr. Webster has recovered over the years have come from Private Land owners.

I know, It’s a Douglas Devastator. I recognise the fin now.

Good God No if it was A TBD I would be very rich right now, but I’ll give you this its a Naval Bomber that was build by three different company,s another part of the clue is go back tot he first quize and look. Oh and yes the FAA/RN flew them also.

It’s got leading edge slats too… so probably not WWII. It’s too ******** up for me to tell though. Any more clues Rob?

Its WWII an Flew out of Rhode Island, also they were build by three different companys.
