Sqn Ldr Tadeusz Andersz

Sadly I heard today that Sqn Ldr Tadeusz Andersz passed away on 29th October 2007.

I first met Tad back in 2000 when I arranged with the help of the HAC to reunite Tad with his former 315 Sqn mount BM597 at Old Hay. Tad along with Ludwig Martel signed the door of BM597.

Tad was given a good send off at RAF Northolt then he was repatriated by the Polish AF for burial in the military cemetery in Warsaw.

I believe Tad’s last public appearance was at Duxford in September, when he got back in the cockpit of BM597 for one last time. A full obit is here:-
