Halifax aircraft

Can any forum members help me with picture/s of Halifax JD417 and LW338 both one time with 78 Squadron during 1943.

I am trying to find out what configuration these aircraft took regarding engines/armaments/rudders/nose etc etc. I have several articles etc on this aircraft but I never seem to be able to form a definitive picture in my mind as one publication can contradict the another!

For example I have seen pictures captioned “B Mk2 Series 1a” that have both types of fin/rudders although another article states that these aircraft would have been built with the later type?

Would I be correct in stating that these machines were built as:
JD417 – B/GR Mk2 Series 1a / LW338 – B Mk2 Series 1a

Any help to straighten out my understanding of these aircraft will be most appreciated!

Kind regards – Malcolm.

the Aston Publications Halifax book by K A Merrick lists JD405 to 421 built by English Electric as B/GR Mk11, LW313-345 also by English Electric as B MK11. If you can get a copy of the “Wings Of Fame” volume with the Halifax variant brief it has good line drawings of them, have to admit to being confused no end by Halifax marques…..
