Help identifying this pic

I wonder if anyone could help in finding details about this fairly well-known photo [Source: Library and Archives Canada]

WHat I know is that the aircraft are Spitfires Mk. IXE of No. 412 Squadron RCAF, the PSP-covered strip should be somewhere in the low countries and that the time seems to be spring of 1945.

It has been suggested to me that the location is B.88 Heesch. I’m looking for confirmation of this, and also date, aircraft serials/codes, names of the pilots or any further details about this picture. Thank you

You’re probably right. I accepted what the original caption said without paying attention to the armament layout.

I cannot comment on the location, but they don’t seem to have the ‘e’ armament.
