Can anyone please shed any light on which type these panels are from?
Length 62″ and port dia. 3 1/2″
I am thinking DH Vampire or Venom perhaps.
Cheers

She sounds like the perfect woman…is she married? 😀
Ha Ha! I can`t comment objectively on that. She would certainly agree with you I`m sure, but as her Dad and also her part-time employer, I would say far from it:dev2:
ie. Turning up at the workshop at 1pm for an 8am start etc etc!
About the Jumo 211, yes, I am very much looking forward to doing a running rebuild. That`s not a garage as such, in fact I dont have a garage, but it is a large workshop attached to the house where I work (and play!)
I am currently in negotiations to acquire another Jumo as a donor engine which will provide most of the missing / damaged parts to complete this one. The second engine has come from a Fjord, so has no magnesium parts but the aluminium is fine.
Anyway, I have a Merlin rebuild to finish first, plus a Packard Merlin and an R-2800 to set up on test rigs for customers, which gives me ample time to learn German
There are some more photos of it here for anyone who is interested:

They don`t do justice to how perfect the bottom-end really is. I wish the rest of it was like that!

Very nice…but isn’t it…upside-down? 😉
Yes, I think they heard something about Merlins being crap under negative G manouvres and decided they would show us a thing or two!!
Many thanks for the info, both of you. My daughter acquired these to hang on the wall in her house (after respraying). Needless to say, she couldn`t care less what they are, or what they are from

Venom FB1 would be my guess…makes more sense with a gap between them for the nose-wheel…
