Queen III AP

Ken.
Sorry I havn’t replied earlier. I was in France yesterday recovering a friends aircraft.

Like John Aeroclub’s manuals, my AP also states the type of propeller is fixed pitch only.

If you would still like to borrow it to photocopy, no problem and no charge. PM your posting details to me.

I have a copy of the care and maintenance for the Gipsy Six, but the Queen III would be usefull, is it available or can I borrow it to copy. I keep looking on eBay but none turn up for the Queen II ( unless I missed a posting)
I am after the Queen II as well because it has the information on the fittings for the VP prop and I want to know how it compares to the Gipsy Six which according to my manual says is for fixed pitch props only.
These manuals are to help with the engines for the Comet and a Mew Gull replica.
Many thanks

Ken

The Gipsy Queen III does not have any reference to a VP prop fitting. You may borrow them if you wish. Just a thought, but do Newark have any manuals with their Dove. PM me if I can help.

Gipsy Queen Manuals

Hi Ken.
I’ve got a copy of Air Publication 1593C Volume 1 for the Queen III. Let me know if it is of any help.

The DH manuals – the square blue ones, regularly turn up on Ebay – keep an eye open.
